Local Bite: Lemon and Condensed Milk Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 335 degrees. Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the condensed milk and mix on low until all ingredients are well blended. Add the lemon juice and grated zest. Mix and sift the dry ingredients, and then them to the mixture. Blend until everything is well mixed. Roll teaspoon-size dollops of dough into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Gently flatten the balls with a fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits begin to brown underneath. Let the biscuits cool before dusting with powdered sugar.*This is a traditional Botswanan cookie
