Emma grew up with a view of Mammoth Hot Springs from her home in Jardine, just above Gardiner, Montana. With such a large backyard, she grew up participating in 4-H with various animals, started both a two-year-old colt and then a foal and trained them both for showing and trail riding. When she wasn’t taking care of her animals, she made the weekly commute to ski and board at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT and hiked and biked in the summer.
Emma has always had a great sense of adventure. Her love of travel was instilled at an early age with the help of her parents and their various trips to the Western United States to some of our greatest national treasures.
Her love of the Park initially sent her to school at Rocky Mountain College in their Biological Science program, but her second year fate brought her to the University of Montana where she graduated with a degree in Media Arts. Throughout college Emma had the opportunity to work in Yellowstone National Park, as well as the U.S. Forest Service in Missoula, MT.
Since college, Emma has worked for the U.S. Forest Service as their webmaster. She has worked three winters teaching snowboarding and skiing at the Yellowstone Club by Big Sky, Montana as well as a summer there working the front desk and taking clients on outdoor activities. Two summers have been spent helping manage the Whitefish Bike Retreat by Glacier National Park and now Austin Adventures!
In her off-seasons, Emma can be found on her bike, or board, enjoying all the outdoors has to offer and seeing new places and finding new adventures!
