From the spectacular river and wildlife-rich terrain of Meru National Park to the legendary tribesmen and wild game of the Masai Mara National Reserve, venture away from the masses into the heart of Kenya on this not-to-be-missed African safari.

  • Set off at first light in search of Bisinandi Reserve’s countless species of wild game, including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhino, gazelle, zebra, kudu, and giraffe
  • Fish one of the clear rivers of Meru National Park for catfish, barble, and tilapia (our chefs will serve up your catch for dinner!)
  • Explore the Laikipia plateau by horseback
  • Search for leopard, aardvark, gennet, and serval cats by spotlight on a nocturnal game drive
  • Enjoy brunch in the shade of an acacia tree, keeping an eye out for herds of passing elephant

Nights 1-3: Offbeat Meru Camp

Is small, traditional and located on the edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanadi National Reserve in a stunning location overlooking the Bisanadi River with beautiful riverine forest.

Nights 4&5: Sosian Ranch

Is a 24,000 acre private wildlife conservancy combining tourism, conservation and traditional cattle ranching in Laikipia’s highlands. Sosian’s original ranch house was built in the 1940’s by Italian artisans, and in recent years was beautifully restored to accommodate up to 14 people in the atmosphere of a private home, now known as Sosian Lodge.

Nights 6-8: Offbeat Mara Camp

One of the smallest camps in the Mara, Offbeat Mara Camp has just six tents and is located on the Olare Orok River in the Mara North Conservancy. This small and exclusive tented camp offers a truly private, traditional safari experience with close access to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve
