Jackson, Wyoming

Day 1: Antelope Flats/ Yellowstone's Geysers
Grand teton vacations

Overnight: Old Faithful Snow Lodge

To kick off this exciting tour, we'll all meet in Jackson.

Afterward, you'll bike through Jackson Hole valley and Antelope Flats past herds of bison and historic log cabins. A scenic drive takes us north to Yellowstone Park where we'll explore Upper Geyser Basin and watch as Old Faithful, Yellowstone's most famous thermal phenomenon, erupts.

Dinner tonight is in the historic dining room of the Old Faithful Inn.

About the Old Faithful Snow Lodge

Completed in 1999, the Snow Lodge is the newest of the park’s full service hotels, and features heavy timber construction, exterior log columns and a cedar shingle roof, making it a significant example of classic “parkitecture.”

Day 2: Lower Geyser Basin / Storm Point

Overnight: Lake Lodge Cabins

On Day 2, get ready to explore Lower Geyser Basin, the geothermal Fountain Paint Pots and the unforgettable Grand Prismatic. Following lunch, we will head to Lake Yellowstone for a leisurely hike to Storm Point.

Afterward, we'll take a shuttle to Lake Yellowstone Lodge Cabins for dinner and a beautiful starlit lakeside walk.

About the Lake Yellowstone Cabins

Lake Lodge Cabins features a main lodge with a large porch offering a spectacular rocking chair view of Yellowstone Lake. The main lodge is constructed of logs and is the focal point of this classic and comfortable building. Located behind the lodge are rustic cabins just a short walk away from Lake Hotel and the lake itself. Each cabin is simple, spacious, and modernly furnished with two queen beds and private bathrooms.

 

 

Day 3: Storm Point / Grand Teton

Fortify yourself with a breakfast at Lake Hotel before peering over the brink of the Upper Falls of the Yellowstone River.

  • Depart on a back country hike full of surprises
  • After lunch and a stroll around the boardwalks at West Thumb Geyser Basin, drive south towards Jackson, and take in the spectacular views.

Afterward, you'll shuttle to your accommodation for the night, Jackson Lake Lodge. This lodge overlooks the skyline of the Tetons and has a fantastic view of Mount Moran.

The evening is yours to explore and enjoy on your own!

About Jackson Lake Lodge
When it comes to Grand Teton National Park lodging, Jackson Lake Lodge is the largest of all the eco-friendly resorts.

The lobby is where it all begins, with 60-foot panoramic windows that frame the Teton Range and Jackson Lake. The rest of the property is well worth exploring and the beauty of the area will leave you wanting to come back for more.

Day 4: Colter Bay / Jackson Rodeo

On Day 4, we'll meet up for a hearty breakfast before heading out on a beautiful kayaking adventure via Colter Bay where you'll enjoy a picnic lunch with sensational mountain views in the background.

Afterward, we'll check out the visitor center in Moose, WY. And dinner tonight is at Trio Bistro followed by the wild and wooly Jackson Cowboy Rodeo!

About the Rustic Inn
This luxury lodge is anything but 'rustic.' Located on seven lush acres adjacent to the National Elk Refuge and just a few blocks from Jackson's lively town square, the Rustic Inn Creekside Resort & Spa welcomes guests with warm Western hospitality.

Day 5: Teton Village / Snake River Canyon

This morning, take in panoramic views of the unforgettable Teton Mountains on a bike ride along the Wilson-Teton Village bike path.

Once you've seen the sights, we'll have lunch at a neat local restaurant in town where you can enjoy Teton to the fullest. But get ready, because afterward you'll be rafting some of Wyoming's finest whitewater through the scenic Snake River Canyon!

Tonight’s farewell dinner is at the exclusive Teton Pines.

Day 6: Grand Tetons/ Jackson

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and one last bike ride on the new Teton bike path before returning to Jackson for our goodbyes.

Departure

Please plan on arriving at least one day prior to your trip departure. Day one of your itinerary starts at 8:00 or 8:15 am, depending on your hotel. Your trip ends with a drop off at either the Jackson airport (12:00 pm) or your Jackson hotel (12:30 pm).

Activities

  • Hiking: 1 – 4 miles per hike, easy to moderate terrain.
  • Biking: 6 to 12 miles per ride, easy to moderate terrain.
  • Whitewater rafting: Class II - III rapids, no experience necessary.
  • Kayaking/Canoeing: No experience necessary, guides will provide instruction.
