Our Trips — and Exceeding Your Expectations — Are Guaranteed!

Austin Adventures operates with a “family vibe”: We try our hardest to work with every guest who we consider an extension of the Austin family and figure out what works best on a case-by-case basis.

If at any point you are dissatisfied, we will work extremely hard to correct any issues and exceed your expectations, up to and including a partial or full refund.

We accept ACH payments, personal checks, and most personal credit cards (U.S. funds made payable to Austin Adventures) for deposits and final payments. When using a credit card for final payment, there is a 2% fee applied. There is no credit card surcharge for using cards at the time of deposit.

Austin Adventures Scheduled Group Departures

Deposit Schedule
  • Reserve 91 days or more before trip departure: $500-$700 per guest deposit is requested to hold your reservation.
  • Your deposit is fully transferable! There is no cancellation fee if you transfer to another trip or put your deposit in escrow for future travel up to the time final payment is due (90 days prior to departure).
Final Payment Schedule
  • 90 days before trip departure: Full payment is required.
  • Bookings made within 90 days require full payment at time of booking.**

Cancelation Policy
  • Cancelation 91 days or more before trip departure: Full trip payment refunded less a $300 per person administration fee
  • Cancelation 61-90 days before trip departure: Full trip payment refunded less 25% per person is refunded
  • Cancelation 31-60 days before trip departure: 50% of the trip payment is refunded
  • Cancelation 0-30 days before trip departure: No refund is given
For Trips With Low Enrollment

In the unlikely event of low enrollment, we guarantee your trip will run. We will run small group scheduled departures for two people (or 4 for a family trip) for just $500 more per guest. And if just one more guest signs up, we will refund you the $500. If you’d prefer the company of more guests, you can choose to transfer to any trip and we’re happy to extend a $300 credit per guest.

For Trips Postponed By Austin Adventures Within 30 Days of Travel

We will do everything in our power to not postpone a trip. In the unlikely event that we must postpone a trip due to federal, state, or local authority, governmental intervention, national park closures, or our own decision:

  • 100% of your funds will be kept in an escrow account. A credit equal to 110% of the price you paid for the actual tour can be used for another trip through 2022. The full value of the credit must be applied to a new reservation 18 months after the date of your original departure.

Custom Tours

Deposit Schedule
  • A trip development deposit of $500 is required to build a plan and itinerary* which will be included in your reservation deposit if you accept the proposed itinerary.
  • Reservations are accepted when the initial deposit of 25% of the total trip cost is received (less the trip development deposit).
  • A larger deposit may be required for certain programs or destinations (including charters, homestays and cruises).

Refunds are as stated below, plus any additional non-refundable cancellation fees and payments already advanced to airlines, hotels, and local operators will be included.

  • Cancelation 91 days or more before trip departure: Full trip payment refunded less the reservation deposit and development deposit
  • Cancelation 61-90 days before trip departure: 50% of the trip payment is refunded
  • Cancelation 31-60 days before trip departure: 25% of the trip payment is refunded
  • Cancelation 0-30 days before trip departure: No refund is given
