For over 35 years, Austin Adventures has grown up and around family. The spark of passion for adventure travel began with CEO and Founder Dan Austin, who guided and curated active adventure trips in Alaska for many years.
Since then, Austin Adventures has flourished as a family-centric tour operator as Dan’s wife, daughter, and son have been a part of the business. And of course, many staff members, guides, and guests have become extended family.
In light of celebrating Family Appreciation Month this March, are you ready to meet a few of the experts in our family? For the remainder of the month, we’ll introduce you to more of our clan including our Adventure Travel Consultants and trip guides. Stay tuned!
As Dan Austin’s daughter who inevitably grew up in the world of adventure travel, it was only natural for Kasey to jump into the family business upon entering “the real world”. She worked for us as Vice President of Operations for many years and was later promoted to President in 2019. Kasey works closely with Austin Adventures’ U.S. and European guides as well as tour operators worldwide, providing the “muscle” behind our operations.
Vice President of International Operations
Living in and working remotely from Vermont doesn’t exclude Curtis from being part of the Montana-based Austin family! He brings more than 10 years of professional travel experience to Austin Adventures. During this time he explored some of the world’s most distinctive and culturally rich destinations. Curtis not only handles our international operations but also has positioned himself as our Southeast Asia expert.
European Operations Manager
Originally from Minnesota, Adam’s passion for travel quite literally changed his life when he moved his family to Holland to live full-time. From there he manages relationships with our European partners and guides, ensuring that each Austin Adventures experience in Europe conveys our distinct personal touch. As both a resident and an explorer of Europe, Adam loves sharing the places he’s frequented across the pond with our guests.
