Christy Hamill

Christy grew up in Montana where she enjoyed time outside on her bike, hiking in Glacier National Park, camping or at the lake with her family.  This love of the outdoors transferred into a career in the travel industry.  Christy has experience in the airline, hotel, ski resort industry and loves the behind the scenes logistics and operations of planning and running a trip.  She holds a BA degree in Accounting and Management.

Christy lives in Florence, Montana with her husband and kitty on a ranch enjoying beautiful views of the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountain ranges and spends as much time outside as possible hiking, gardening, enjoying the wildlife and sunsets!

 

 

What’s your favorite vacation destination(s)?

Yellowstone National Park and the Canadian Rockies!
Both are so diverse!

What is your favorite hike?

Anywhere in Glacier National Park or Wapiti Trail in Yellowstone National Park.

What is your favorite bike ride?

I loved riding along the coast in Holland, around San Juan Island and any trail in Montana!

What is your favorite Austin Adventures trip?

Costa Rica – beautiful country and people.  So many varieties of flowers, fauna and wildlife everywhere!  The ability to experience the ocean and rainforest all in one location and I love studying and protecting sea turtles!

Favorite Movie?

Has to be Grease and Top Gun!  I also enjoy Ken Burns National Park series.

Favorite Book?

That is a tough question because I tend to think that is the current book I am reading.  If I had to choose The Alchemist or any book by LaVeryl Spencer.

Favorite Song?

Old time rock and roll – most anything by Def Leppard, Heart or Bon Jovi.

When did you first catch the travel bug?

Growing up near Glacier National Park we spent many days hiking in the park and camping as kids!

What are your favorite outdoor activities?

Hiking, Biking and Star Gazing!

What are your hobbies?

Reading, gardening, biking, volunteering at spay/neuter clinics, bird watching and recently studying Bumblebees
