What’s your favorite vacation destination?
Anywhere I’ve never been! I enjoy the process of making the unknown, known. If I had to settle on one place, however, The Bahamas will always be dear to my heart as it was home to my family for many years. As enticing as it is to discover a completely new place, there’s a wonderful feeling that comes along with family, friends, and familiar faces.
What is your favorite historical site, castle, museum, etc.?
I have many! But the first that comes to mind is the Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale, Washington. I was going for a drive along the Columbia River when I accidentally stumbled upon it. The building itself is a sight to see, designed in a Beaux-Arts style and positioned on a bluff overlooking the river. Though it’s a smaller museum, it’s home to some very notable collections and definitely worth a visit!
Music means everything to me! From old blues, to dream pop, to hip hop and everything in between. I get a lot of joy from curating different playlists for different moods, places, and people! The song, Blue Light by Mazzy Star has always resonated with me in a special way.
When did you first catch the travel bug?
As far back as I can remember. I am lucky to come from a family of adventurous travelers who always brought me along and instilled in me their love of new experiences. Sometimes that would be flying to a completely different country, or sometimes it would simply be taking off in the boat with my father and exploring the small islands on the Willamette River where we lived!
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Hiking, camping, or finding just the perfect spot to spend the day with a good book, a journal, and my thoughts!
What are your hobbies?
Weaving, beading, sketching, reading, anything pertaining to the world of arts!
