Born and raised in Amsterdam, I learned how to bike before I could walk.
Despite being raised in the center of a city, I’ve always felt tempted to head into nature. At the age of 15, I biked with my three best friends through Holland to Belgium and Germany. After this adventure, I caught the travel bug and I have never stopped exploring.
At the age of 17, I traveled through Southeast Asia and became a ski instructor in the Alps of Austria. In these locations, I fell in love with the mountains which I had never seen in Holland. To stick with these mountains, I decided to study geology.
In my studies, I always took the opportunity to go on field trips in other countries. To cover my trip and study expenses I became a captain on the Amsterdam canals where I give historical tours for locals and tourists.
The combination of traveling and guiding tourists is how I ended up at Austin Adventures. I would love to share with you my geological and historical knowledge of Europe!
