Heather lives in Columbia Falls, MT, just miles away from the mountains, lakes, and rivers of NW Montana and Glacier National Park. She spent an extensive amount of time in the Northwest, including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. She has also traveled to all 50 states, New Zealand, and Antarctica, and is always looking for opportunities to explore new adventures.
Growing up in a family that encouraged a healthy relationship with nature led Heather to be the outdoor enthusiast that she is today. She enjoys spending as much time as possible, hiking, backpacking, swimming, biking, and kayaking. When not outdoors, Heather enjoys developing her massage therapy and energy medicine practices, as well as learning new techniques and modalities to better serve her clients. She has a passion for helping people feel whole. For Heather, seeing the look on people’s faces when they are fully in the moment enjoying all that nature has to offer is one of the most gratifying experiences possible.
What’s your favorite hike?
My favorite hike changes with the seasons, however, Lost Lake and Harding Ice Field hikes in Alaska still stand out as 2 of my favorites of all time.
What’s your favorite bike ride?
That’s a toss up between the Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier Park and biking around Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands in Washington. Very different, but both great views.
The Wizard of Oz. I really like the idea of clicking my heels together three times to be home.
The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird
I don’t have a favorite, but most songs by the Rolling Stones make me smile.
What are your hobbies?
Hiking, biking, gardening, traveling, camping, cooking, painting, photography, and learning.
When did you first catch the travel bug?
When I was little. My parents had it and passed it on to my brother and me.
