I live in Whitefish, MT, just miles away from the mountains, lakes, and rivers of NW Montana as well as Glacier Nat’l Park. I’ve spent an extensive amount of time in the Northwest, including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. I’ve also traveled to all 50 states, New Zealand, Nepal, and Antarctica. Always looking for opportunities to explore new places and new adventures.
Growing up in a family that encouraged a healthy relationship with nature led me to be the outdoor enthusiast that I am today. I enjoy spending as much time as possible, hiking, backpacking, skiing, swimming, biking, kayaking, and tending to my patio garden. When I’m not outdoors, I enjoy learning as much as I can about various topics, tending to my indoor plants, reading, playing games, watching movies, painting, laughing, and cooking. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge, wisdom, and enthusiasm for mother nature. Seeing the look on peoples faces when they are fully in the moment enjoying all that nature has to offer is one of the most gratifying experiences.
What’s your favorite hike?
My favorite hike changes with the seasons and locations, however, Lost Lake in Alaska still stands out as one my favorites of all time.
What’s your favorite bike ride?
That’s a toss-up between Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier Park and biking around the White rim trail in Canyonlands National Park in Utah. Very different, but both great views.
The Wizard of Oz. I really like the idea of clicking my heels together 3 times to be home.
The Secret Life of Plants.
I don’t have a favorite, but most songs by the Rolling Stones make me smile.
When did you first catch the travel bug?
When I was little. My parents had it and passed it on to my brother & I.
What are your hobbies?
Hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, gardening, traveling, camping, cooking, painting, photography, and learning.
